Exciting stuff is happening in Maine already this year! Several closed fundraises, lots of events, insane amounts of snow and most importantly, Baxter’s birthday! That’s right, Baxter (and therefore, Nexus Maine) is turning one year old soon! We think a celebration is in order so we’re partnering with our friends at the Portland Art Gallery to throw a birthday bash on March 13 from 5-7pm! More details and registration information can be found below. We hope to see many of you there and please know that family members / significant others are welcome!
As always if you know anyone great for this group, please make sure to send them this invite link.
Baxter's birthday is coming up for nexus maine. Let's see what a pixar-style image of his birthday looks like

Career/Bio overview
I’m a business/revenue leader with product, marketing and data chops who loves nerding out on interesting problems. I’m currently doing that as VP of Product Growth for Bitly (we are fully remote!). I’ve spent the past 10+ years in product-led growth for SaaS making my way here from ecommerce (eg- Head of Site Merchandising for an Amazon subsidiary) and before that corporate retail (eg- Buyer for Macys) by following market changes in data and tech. I pride myself in being a connector of people and ideas and am enjoying spending time doing both of these things outside of my work at Bitly.
Why Maine?
I’m a boomerang (thank you to the person who taught me this term at a recent Nexus Maine Happy Hour). I grew up here in Cape Elizabeth, left for 20+ years and just returned a year and a half ago after 17 years in Atlanta. I never thought I would return to Maine full-time, mostly because the jobs I wanted (with the pay) were never here but the pandemic changed all that. I’m happy to return back here (we landed in Scarborough) to raise my 3-year old in a place with a safer, slower pace of life taking advantage of access to grandparents, great schools, and all the wonderful outdoor activities Maine has to offer.
Away from the keyboard
Since moving back to Maine, I’ve taken up tennis and love it! I play on a few USTA teams and have become part of a great community of folks who regularly play pick up. I also decided to give my alter ego a chance (Surfer Girl) and try my hand at surfing (looking for beginner buddies!). I love being outside in nature and can be found hiking lots of nearby trails with my wife (Sarah) and son (Theo). When I’m not outside, you can find me curled up with a good book (usually memoirs or something human psychology oriented).
Let’s talk
As someone who loves connecting people and ideas, I’d love to meet you. Slack, Linkedin and in person Friday coffee chats are the best way.
