Member spotlight: David Tse
Background: David grew up in the Hudson Valley (Newburgh, NY) enjoying the outdoors and competing in sports ranging from lacrosse to alpine ski racing. He became more enthralled with cars and cycling in college as he fell deeper into his major of Mechanical Engineering and the benefits of working part-time as a bicycle mechanic.
Working Across Industries: David spent time working in various technical roles starting in semiconductor fabrication, data centers and food/beverage processing. He then moved into biopharma and large institutional energy management before making a dramatic shift into renewable energy finance and management consulting at Accenture. For the past 6 years he has mainly focused on climate-tech innovation and the clean energy transition at both investor owned utilities and startups.
New to Entrepreneurship: David was inspired to start his own venture after a life-changing EV road-trip from Maine to Colorado in Feb 2023. He had a blast and felt that he needed to help others discover the joys (yes there are joys) of exploring the world in an EV.
Passions: mountain biking and skiing (when the weather permits and he can actually find the time) and EV road-tripping. Recently bought a cinewhoop drone to play around with...
Personal: Lives in Scarborough with his wife, 5-month old son, and 20-month old labradoodle.
Feel free to DM on slack @David Tse
