We are loving these monthly opportunities to gather this community! We had a great time seeing so many of you last Thursday and look forward to continued opportunities to connect. We also had our monthly coffee meetup in Kennebunk and would love to hear from anyone interested in hosting something similar in their hometowns.
I also wanted to note how helpful this group is. The support, connections, and insights everyone brings are what make Nexus Maine so special and watching you all show up time and time again to help each other out has been amazing. Whether it's a quick piece of advice, a meaningful introduction or anything else, this community continues to impress.
Lastly, as always, if you know anyone great for this group, please make sure to send them this invite link.

“My story
I grew up in Buckfield, Maine - a sleepy town in Oxford County. After graduating from the University of Maine, I moved to Boston and ended up graduating from Northeastern with my MBA. I thought I wanted to be a CFO, but I joined IBM and quickly learned this was not, in-fact, something that I wanted to do. I ended up back into Maine where I moved into pricing, and then sales while still at IBM. I met my now wife on a sales call in Atlanta in 2018, who convinced me to move to DC. There I found startups, moved into marketing, and I'm on my third startup now where I'm the Head of Product Marketing. I classify myself as a Go To Market Person with experience in B2B Software.
Why Maine?
Growing up I thought I wanted to leave Maine and never come back. After leaving I had the realization that I grew up in an idyllic place, with people that were weird (just like me) and places that I loved being. Maine is a safe, accepting, and beautiful, with a wonderful tradition of access to the outdoors. While it has its challenges, it is overall a wonderful place to be. I want to work hard to both preserve what is good about Maine while helping it to grow in a healthy, inclusive way.
Away from keyboard
I love spending time with my wife and my dog, Atlas. We like to hike, camp, go to concerts, and ski. I have special passions for whitewater canoeing and brewing coffee with a variety of apparatuses (espresso machine, AeroPress, Moka Pot, etc).
Let's talk
If you want free Go To Market advice (I love giving it, even though some of it might be terrible), if you want to get connected with capital, if you want to meet up in the Portland area at all for coffee, or if you're interested in whitewater canoeing this spring.”
Thank you for making this community special, everyone! See you on Slack.
