Nexus Maine - Momentum
Introducing Nexus Swag, "Remote and Lonely," and recapping a fantastic birthday
That was awesome. Thank you to all who came to our birthday party last week! We had so much fun with over 100 of you at the Portland Art Gallery. And a huge thank you to the Portland Art Gallery for hosting us! As a heads up, they host a “First Thursday” gallery open house from 5-7pm every month AND they’d like to offer 10% off of art purchases for anyone in this community!
It is hard to believe that this community has grown so quickly in just one year (over 1000 subscribers and over 750 Slack members.)…and we are just getting started!
For announcements, I am excited to announce the launch of our first Nexus Maine Merch! Check out the store here and all the details below. We are also working on a website revamp, a member directory and a few updates to membership. Stay tuned!
Lastly, as always if you know anyone great for this group, please make sure to send them this invite link.

Announcement: Nexus Merch
We are so excited to share our brand new Nexus Maine swag, featuring a sweatshirt and our "Remote and Lonely" t-shirt.
Why "Remote and Lonely"?
Loneliness is an epidemic. As more people embrace remote work, many find themselves disconnected from the vibrant, in-person interactions that fuel creativity, collaboration, and personal fulfillment. We believe in the power of community—that no one should have to navigate their career, startup journey, or life alone.
Our "Remote and Lonely" tee is a tongue-in-cheek nod to the challenges of remote work, but more importantly, it's a rallying cry for those seeking connection. If you see someone wearing this shirt, talk to them! Whether you're an entrepreneur, a creative, or a remote worker searching for your people, Nexus Maine is here to bring us together.
Grab your gear, rep the movement, and let’s build something great—together. Shop here.

Career/Bio Overview
I am a software engineer, multidisciplinary artist, and the founder of TheTechMargin. I have a deep passion for blending technology and creativity. Alongside my co-founder and professional artist husband, Christopher O'Connor, I am building AICharmLab. AICharmLab empowers professional artists by seamlessly integrating technology into their workflows, amplifying their strengths, eliminating distractions, and ensuring they feel supported through private learning communities of fellow artists.
Away from the Keyboard
For me, creativity has no boundaries, and my work is informed by drawing inspiration from my many passions, such as synthesizers, video, sonic art, painting, and poetry. Everything is interconnected, and the full potential of creativity thrives at the intersection of different disciplines.
