Sure Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and we apparently get earthquakes now (!?!)… but it’s another Nexus newsletter Monday and we’ve got the antidote to any winter blues that may be creeping in.
To start things off, we invite you to join us for our first official happy hour of the year at Shipyard on Wednesday this week! And as always if you know anyone great for this group, please make sure to send them this invite link.
Here’s your Pixar-style image of Baxter the Moose overseeing Groundhog Day!

Career/Bio overview
I'm a product person who enjoys following where my curiosity leads. I've worked in commercial and nonprofit orgs large and small, and am now building partnerships for Oak AI, a Maine-based early-stage startup that takes an ethical approach to AI development in striving to close the gap between values and action.
Why Maine?
Mountains + oceans + fresh air + great people = Maine
Away from the keyboard
So much! I am teaching myself to fly-fish, hiking every inch of every trail in Baxter State Park (currently at 37.8%), editing my grandmother's travel diaries (auf Deutsch) for publication, and serving as president of the South Portland Strikers soccer club among other interests.
Let’s talk
I love chatting about product and business problems, about potential Oak partnerships, or about any of the hobbies noted above, as well as meeting fellow Mainers.
Feel free to reach out via LinkedIn or the Nexus Maine Slack. You can often find me at the Data & AI Meetup as well as other local events.
Thank you for making this community special, everyone! See you on Slack.
